Do I need a Ghana Card to start saving?

No. Tier 1 needs only your legal name, date of birth and a verified +233 mobile money number, and it allows limited deposits. A Ghana Card is required for Tier 2, which unlocks withdrawals, payouts and group Susu.

What do I upload for Tier 2?

Three images: the front of your Ghana Card, the back of it, and a selfie taken there and then holding the card beside your face. The printed text and your face both need to be readable and in focus.

How long does verification take?

The automated screen runs in seconds. If nothing is flagged, your submission waits as pending for final approval. Flagged submissions go into manual review, normally handled within one working day.

Why was my submission sent to manual review?

Common reasons are a low selfie-to-card match, blurry or dark images, a card number already used by another profile, or a name that does not match your registration details.

What happens if I am rejected?

You get the specific reason and can submit again. Rejection is never a permanent block unless we detect deliberate fraud.

Someone else already registered my number. What now?

Accepted Answer

Only one approved account can hold a phone number. Instead of a dead-end error you are offered account recovery so you can regain access to the existing account.

How does the management fee work?

In a group Susu, the hand you collect is the pot the group pays in that day, less one day's contribution as the management fee. On a GHS 23 group of ten members the pot is GHS 230 and you receive GHS 207. A personal savings box is free unless you cash out before your target date, which costs 2% of the balance.

How are group payouts ordered?

Your slot number is your turn — you pick it when you join, and slot one collects on day one, slot ten on day ten. The group only starts once all ten slots are taken, and every member collects exactly once.

What stops someone defaulting in my group?

Contributions sit in escrow, reminders are automated, and default locks prevent a member from taking a hand and then dropping out.
